Ammonium Humate

Ammonium Humate

Ammonium Humate is a natural organic fertilizer produced by reacting high-quality humic acid (extracted from leonardite) with ammonia. It combines slow-release organic nitrogen and highly active humic substances in one product, providing both immediate and long-term nutrition while improving soil health.

Main Specifications

ParameterSpecification

Ammonium Nitrogen (quick part)2 – 4 %
Organic slow-release Nitrogen2 – 4 %
Moisture≤ 12 %
pH (1 % solution)7.5 – 9.5
Water Solubility≥ 90 %
Particle size (powder)80 – 200 mesh
Granular size (if granular)1 – 4 mm

Main Benefits

  1. Gives plants both quick and slow nitrogen – no sudden growth flush, no burning.
  2. Supplies 5–7 % gentle organic nitrogen that lasts longer than urea or ammonium sulfate.
  3. High humic acid (≥ 60 %) improves soil structure and feeds microbes right away.
  4. Works great as starter fertilizer for rice, corn, vegetables, and transplanting.
  5. Increases root growth and seedling vigor in the first 20–30 days.
  6. Reduces nitrogen leaching and volatilization loss in wet or sandy soils.
  7. Dark color warms the soil faster in cold seasons and helps germination.
  8. Safe for young plants and can be used in organic programs (many grades are OMRI-listed).
  9. One application covers early growth stage and improves soil for the whole season.

How to Use

  • Broadcasting or band placement before planting
  • Side-dressing for rice, maize, vegetables
  • Mix into transplanting water or nursery media
  • Can be dissolved for foliar spray (0.5 – 1 kg/ha)

Typical Rates

  • Rice & field crops: 50 – 150 kg/ha
  • Vegetables & transplanting: 80 – 200 kg/ha
  • Nursery media: 2 – 5 kg/m³

Packaging

  • 25 kg kraft or PP bag with inner liner
  • 20 kg bag, 5 kg bag (retail)
  • 500 – 1000 kg big bag

Key Advantages

  • Much safer than straight ammonium sulfate or urea
  • Nitrogen + humic acid in one bag – saves labor
  • Less smell and less loss than normal ammonium fertilizers
  • Good price, long-lasting effect
