Silicon Humate

Silicon Humate
  • Product Name: Silicon Humate
  • Common Trade Names: Silico-Humate, Si-Humate, Silicon-Enhanced Humic Acid, Potassium Humate with Soluble Silicon

1. General Description

Silicon Humate is a water-soluble organo-mineral fertilizer and soil conditioner produced by the alkaline extraction of leonardite (oxidized lignite) followed by complexation with soluble silicon (typically in the form of potassium silicate). It combines the beneficial properties of humic and fulvic acids with plant-available silicon. The product significantly improves plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stress, enhances nutrient uptake, strengthens cell walls, and improves soil structure.

4. Benefits and Mode of Action

  • Supplies plant-available monomeric silicic acid (H₄SiO₄) that is deposited as amorphous silica in cell walls → increased mechanical strength and resistance to lodging, pests, and fungal diseases.
  • Stimulates root development and nutrient uptake (especially P, Fe, Zn, Mn) through humic acid chelation and soil cation exchange improvement.
  • Enhances drought and salinity tolerance by improving water-holding capacity and osmotic regulation.
  • Buffers soil pH and reduces aluminum toxicity in acidic soils.
  • Acts as a natural biostimulant, increasing chlorophyll content and photosynthetic efficiency.
